Permits and soil, in short
Oklahoma DEQ issues septic permits and must inspect new or repaired systems before they are covered (Oklahoma DEQ sewage treatment page). Hire only a DEQ-certified installer (DEQ certified installer search). A soil profile or perc test decides which system your lot can use (DEQ rules, OAC 252:641).

After you press the button
- JJ, who runs this guide, reads every request that comes in and removes spam and duplicates.
- If you ticked the box and gave an email, a copy of what you sent comes back to you.
- The goal is to hand your request to one or more septic companies that work your part of the OKC metro within 1 business day. We can't promise when a company will call you.
- The company contacts you, looks at the job and quotes it. Price, permits and the work itself are between you and that company.
- If none of the companies we pass requests to covers your address, we tell you (when you left an email) and delete the request.
Companies that receive requests may pay this site, so we are not neutral. For new or changed systems, DEQ authorization comes first; see septic rules. To have your request deleted at any time, email [email protected].
